The Guardian 4 sensor is a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) that checks blood glucose levels every five minutes. It is indicated for insertion in the back of the upper arm and for seven days of continuous use.
It is intended for use with Guardian 4 Transmitters to monitor glucose levels for the management of diabetes. The transmitter collects and calculates sensor data and sends the data to a compatible Medtronic insulin pump.
The Guardian 4 sensor is indicated for persons 7 years and older. It has not been approved for use during pregnancy.
