GlucaGen HypoKit

GlucaGen is an injectable form of glucagon used for treatment of severe hypoglycemia (severe low blood glucose) in adults and children weighing more than 55 pounds or over 6 years of age with diabetes. The kit comes as a vial of powdered glucagon and a syringe of sterile water for mixing the glucagon. GlucaGen can be injected subcutaneously (under the skin) or intramuscularly (into the muscle) and is stable at room temperature for 2 years. There is both a pediatric and adult dose.
